Congratulations to East Sussex students as GCSE exam results announced

Cllr Bob Standley, lead member for education and inclusion, special educational needs and disability at East Sussex County Council, said: “Our young people have worked hard to ensure that they were well prepared for their examinations and this is reflected in the results that they have received today.

‘Fake news’ warning over child flu vaccine

New highways payment scheme promotes business growth

CONTRACTORS working on highways schemes in East Sussex are being paid in a new way under a pioneering scheme running in the county.

Parents of absentee children taken to court

'Get A Grip' - East Sussex County Council school attendance campaignSIXTEEN parents of children in East Sussex have been taken to court for failing to ensure their children regularly attend school.

National recognition for county’s Registration service

Anna Goddard, Superintendent Registrar and ceremonies manager, Mike Bendell, life events manager, and Steve Quayle, Registration Service team manager.THE “outstanding” service offered by the county’s Registration team has received national recognition.

East Sussex County Council’s Registration Service picked up the Award for Excellence in Service Delivery at a special ceremony.
