Call times slashed by award-winning highways team
A CUSTOMER service team has clinched a national award for a pioneering approach allowing problems with East Sussex roads to be dealt with more quickly and efficiently.
The switch by East Sussex Highways to a new, more ‘personalised’ way of working and a high-tech software system has seen average call response times slashed from 90 seconds to just nine seconds. Continue reading
Diplocks Way, Hailsham water main upgrade postponed

South East Water work on a water mains replacement scheme has been stopped by East Sussex County Council after concerns were raised about traffic management and road safety.
The company began a nine month project last Monday to replace a pipe in Diplocks Way, Hailsham, which has burst 13 times in two years – twice since 1 October. Continue reading
