Progress update for Queensway Gateway Road

escc logoTHE FINAL phase of the Queensway Gateway Road is now expected to be completed in September.

East Sussex County Council and its contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places are delivering the last stage of the project which links Queensway with the A21 Sedlescombe Road North.

The work was due to be completed at the end of this month, but owing to unforeseen circumstances the road is now scheduled to open to the public in September.

£1 million funding to help businesses grow

Transformation of Hailsham High Street complete

A NEW-look Hailsham High Street has reopened to motorists after the first part of a £2.5million improvement scheme was completed.

The road has been closed to vehicles since July while changes and improvements were made to the road, pavements and drainage, although pedestrian access was maintained throughout the work. Continue reading →
