Campaign to help smokers in Hastings find happiness

AN AWARENESS campaign designed to dispel a common myth that smoking is a way to relieve stress is hitting Hastings in the new year.

Suspended jail term for dodgy tobacco dealer

Remembering a WW1 hero from East Sussex

A ceremony was held in Seaford to unveil a memorial paving stone and plaque to town First World War hero Cuthbert Bromley, attended by dignitaries and members of Bromley’s familyA WAR hero from Seaford who served in one of the most infamous campaigns of the First World War has been commemorated in his home town.

Cuthbert Bromley, who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery at Gallipoli, died aged 36 in August 1915 after the ship he was travelling in was sunk by a German torpedo. Continue reading →
