Record road improvement programme planned

A RECORD number of East Sussex roads will be given a new lease of life with this year’s programme of pothole-preventing work.

Bus pass changes come into effect in April

CabCarlMaynard (Small)BUS passengers using concessionary passes are being reminded of changes that take effect from April 1, 2014.

Changes to the concessionary bus passes will come into force as East Sussex County Council works towards reducing its transport budget over the next three years. The 2014/15 budget has been set at £10.9million. Continue reading →

Film project unearths untold stories from library vaults

Sussex Downs Film students Lewes Library presentation 5 March 2014 35MURDER, mystery and football were among the topics of a film project undertaken by students from East Sussex.

The scheme, a partnership between Lewes Library and Sussex Downs Lewes College, saw BTEC Film and TV production students tasked with producing a series of one-minute films with a Sussex theme. Continue reading →
