Update:  Clean up operation on East Sussex coastline

Work continues to clear the East Sussex coastline of the remains of shipping containers and debris that washed up this week.

The pollution is the result of containers from two cargo ships going overboard further along the coast during storms late last year and last week. Continue reading →

Funding boost will improve county road safety

A HALF a million-pound funding boost will help improve safety on roads across East Sussex.

The money, part of East Sussex County Council’s capital programme, will be used to assess all A and B roads to ensure speed limits are appropriate, and identify areas where they could be reduced. Continue reading →

E is for Eastbourne – Laureate’s Library Tour 2023

Road recycling scheme begins in Burwash

RoadworksMOTORISTS driving through Burwash will experience a smoother ride after extensive resurfacing work is complete.
