Green gritters ready for winter
GRITTERS running on low emission biodiesel will be working to keep East Sussex moving this winter.
All the bright yellow trucks in the East Sussex Highways’ gritting fleet are now ‘green’, running on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel, and preparations are underway to ensure the 21 environmentally friendly gritters are ready when snow is forecast, or the road surface temperature falls near to or below freezing. New strategy to help children reach their potential
A NEW Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) strategy to enable young people to reach their full potential in every area of life has been launched.
The SEND Strategy 2022-2025 will be used to inform the work of everyone working with children and young people with SEND across East Sussex, giving them the opportunities and support they need to achieve their ambitions and prepare for adult life.

£8 million boost for arts and heritage organisations
COUNCIL and cultural leaders have welcomed news that a number of organisations in East Sussex are set to benefit from more than £8 million of investment.
Arts Council England announced its 2023 to 2025 investment commitments which include eight organisations in the county which will between them receive a total of £8.3 million, a 25 per cent increase for the county since the last spending round. Continue reading
