Event helps young people decide on apprenticeships

Major town centre improvement scheme begins

East Sussex County Council and Eastbourne Borough Council’s multi-million pound Eastbourne Town Centre Improvement Scheme will include pavement widening and the installation of new bus stops, street furniture and street lights. Continue reading

Detection dog’s discovery lands illegal tobacco traders in court

tobacco dogTHE HIGHLY trained nose of a detection dog led to the discovery of illegal tobacco and the successful prosecution of two men.

With the help of the tobacco detection dog, Trading Standards officers from East Sussex County Council uncovered illegal tobacco products in Robertson Supermarket in Robertson Street, Hastings, in December last year, and at Fazarna in London Road, St Leonards, in February this year. Continue reading
