Leading youth orchestra to give concert of popular classics

SDYO resizedHUNDREDS of primary school pupils will be given the opportunity to hear a full symphony orchestra perform at two concerts next month.

Pupils from across East Sussex will be invited to one of two concerts being performed by the South Downs Youth Orchestra (SDYO) at Uckfield’s Civic Centre on Thursday, November 26. The orchestra is one of East Sussex Music’s leading ensembles, comprising 85 school pupils from across the county. Continue reading

Births and deaths to be registered at temporary home

Cllr Chris DowlingREGISTRATION services have moved to a temporary home ahead of a major revamp of Southover Grange.

Lewes residents wanting to register births and deaths will need to visit Westfield House – the white building in front of County Hall in Lewes, until the work is complete.  Register Office marriages will continue to be provided at Lewes Town Hall. Continue reading
