Putting final touches to Uckfield improvement scheme

THE final touches are being applied to a major improvement scheme which has transformed Uckfield town centre. Contractors Colas have now completed lining work in Uckfield High Street and are due to finish any remaining ‘snagging’ – remedying minor issues – and leave the site by the end of September 2016.

Uckfield improvement scheme reaches final stages

WORK is continuing on the final stages of a major improvement scheme for Uckfield High Street. Contractors Colas are due to start road resurfacing in High Street during the week commencing Monday, August 22 2016.

Uckfield kerbstones get new home at heritage railway

KERB stones removed as part of a refurbishment of Uckfield High Street are being put to good use at a Sussex heritage railway. The granite stones have been used by the Bluebell Railway to create a new entrance to its main goods yard, based at its station in Horsted Keynes, near Haywards Heath.
