SOCIAL workers are being encouraged to find out more about working for the county council at two recruitment events later this month.
The events, which are taking place during Social Work Week, will offer newly qualified and experienced social workers the opportunity to learn more about a career in social work in East Sussex.
A CAMPAIGN to encourage more people to consider fostering for their local authority was highlighted at yesterday’s Full Council meeting.
Cllr Bob Bowdler, lead member for children and families at East Sussex County Council, spoke directly to those attending the meeting about the need for more families to foster direct through the council’s in-house fostering service.
