£7 million boost for two county youth centres
FACILITIES for young people in Heathfield and Peacehaven will undergo a major upgrade thanks to more than £7 million of Government funding.
The Youth Investment Fund will help East Sussex County Council to provide a range of positive activities and support services for young people after school, in the evenings and at weekends.
Support for families under one roof
FAMILIES across East Sussex will be able to access a range of support services under one roof as 11 Family Hubs open their doors this summer.
Professionals including midwives, health visitors, Early Communications Support Workers, Early Years Practitioners, Community Engagement Coordinators and Early Help Key will offer support from the new Family Hubs, while sessions will give children and parents the chance to socialise and support their children’s needs and development. YOUNG care leavers have just weeks left to give their views on the support available to help them deal with the practical and emotional challenges of becoming an adult.
