THE ARMED Forces flag has been raised at County Hall in Lewes to mark Armed Forces Day.
The flag will fly all week in recognition of the whole armed forces community, from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

Tributes paid to long-serving Eastbourne councillor
TRIBUTES have been paid following the sad death of long-standing Eastbourne councillor Barry Taylor.

Budget protecting vital services approved
DETAILS of how £500 million will support vital services for East Sussex residents have been agreed by councillors.
The county council’s 2023/24 budget, which will pay for services including roads, libraries and support for vulnerable adults and children, was approved at a meeting of the Full Council on Tuesday, February 7, along with the authority’s plan for delivering its priorities in the coming year. Historic proclamation document to be displayed
THE HISTORIC words which officially announced a new monarch will go on display in East Sussex.
The High Sheriff of East Sussex, Jane King, presented a framed version of the proclamation of King Charles III to Cllr Peter Pragnell, Chairman of East Sussex County Council.
