Welcome news for bus users in the Hastings and Rye area

Fund-raising run set to hit Link Road

RUNNERS will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow the route of the new Bexhill to Hastings Link Road before it opens.

In May next year, Hastings and Bexhill Lions Club is staging a fund-raising 10k run on the new highway, currently being built by East Sussex County Council and due for completion in 2015. Watch our video with Eric Hardwick from Hastings Half.

‘Bear with us’ plea as Uckfield work begins

Cllr Claire DowlingTHE board behind a major improvement scheme for Uckfield town centre is asking people to ‘bear with us’ after work began on the scheme.

Contractors moved in on Monday (September 22 2014) to begin the first stage of the £2.5 million Uckfield Town Centre Highway Improvement Scheme, removing and replacing paving and installing new street lighting. Continue reading

Next step for Hailsham town centre scheme
