THE PUBLIC, businesses and organisations are being asked to give their view on a raft of measures aimed at improving a major road in East Sussex.
Proposals have been developed for nine junctions along the A22 and A2290 between Hailsham and Eastbourne to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, reduce traffic and journey times, as well as tackling congestion issues. A WEEK of safety work along Cross Levels Way in Eastbourne is due to start on Monday, June 28.
The scheme is taking place to improve safety at the old permitted landfill site through which the road was built, and includes installing vents and chambers to allow low level residual gas to escape.
RESIDENTS in Hastings are able to cross a busy road more safely following the completion of a new pedestrian crossing.
