THE benefits of apprenticeships in helping young people launch a successful career are being highlighted in East Sussex as part of a national initiative.
To mark National Apprenticeship Week, which runs from March 4 to 8 2019 under the theme ‘Blaze A Trail’, East Sussex County Council is working with Apprenticeships in Sussex to promote events across the county.
YOUNG people in East Sussex have taken their seats on a body representing their peers on the issues that affect them.
A total of 21 young people aged between 11 and 18 have been elected or co-opted to serve for one year on the East Sussex Youth Cabinet, each representing their school, college or youth group. Continue reading
YOUNG people from East Sussex are calling for more to be done to boost mental health and emotional wellbeing in schools and the wider community.
The call was made following Takeover Day, held at County Hall, in Lewes, in which around 50 young people got together to discuss how they feel the issue should be addressed. Continue reading
A SCHEME to improve careers guidance and support for secondary school students across East Sussex has been officially launched.
