Changes to Covid testing site in Bexhill
A NEW temporary Covid testing site will be in operation in Bexhill from next week (week beginning March 7).
It replaces the fixed site which has been providing PCR tests in Wainwright Road for the past two years but which will end its operation at 5pm on Friday, March 4.
Spring events at East Sussex libraries
AN EXCITING programme of events will be running in libraries across the county over the coming months.
Free events include computer coding workshops, music and theatre performances and interactive family learning sessions.
To mark Women’s History Month this month, which aims to inspire and empower women by celebrating women’s lives and achievements, coding taster sessions for girls will take place at Hastings and Eastbourne libraries.
Successful first year for Hastings drugs project
AN INITIATVE tackling drug-related harm and crime in Hastings is celebrating its positive results as police forces across the country mark a year of Project ADDER.
The Home Office announced recently that across England and Wales more than 13,000 people had been supported in drug treatment interventions and more than 600 organised crime groups had been disrupted.
In Hastings alone, 70 people are currently being supported through drug treatment interventions as part of the initiative led by East Sussex County Council and Sussex Police.
