Delay to reopening of Hastings Library
HASTINGS Library will reopen later than expected – to give contractors more time to protect the fabric of the historic building.
The library, in Claremont, has been closed since February last year for a complete revamp. The finished building will also house the children’s library, which is currently based in Robertson Passage. Continue reading
Cabinet to discuss strategy to protect countryside sites
A STRATEGY to secure the future of countryside sites across East Sussex will be discussed by cabinet next week.
Members will be asked to approve the Countryside Access Strategy, which sets out how East Sussex County Council’s 2,000 miles of footpaths, bridleways and byways and 10 countryside sites are managed in the future. Continue reading
