New chapter for Seaford Library as café opens

Chapters Cafe webTHE OWNER of a Lewes tearoom has set up shop in Seaford Library after being chosen to run its new café.

Christian Hopper, owner of Lewesiana in Lewes High Street, was successful in his bid to operate the eatery at the facility in Sutton Park Road and has now opened Chapters Café @ Seaford Library. Continue reading →

‘Scamnesty’ takes aim at those who target vulnerable

Cllr Chris DowlingPEOPLE who receive scam mail are being given the chance to bin it and get advice and support from experts – in a campaign running in East Sussex libraries.

Revised library opening times on the way

Get online and help highways crews handle flooding

Cllr Carl MaynardPEOPLE in East Sussex are being urged to use an online system to report flooding from roadside drains this winter.

Since the start of May 2016, East Sussex Highways has handled around 1,300 reports of flooded drains, with that number expected to surge during wet, wintry weather. Continue reading →
