Campaign to help smokers in Hastings find happiness

AN AWARENESS campaign designed to dispel a common myth that smoking is a way to relieve stress is hitting Hastings in the new year.

Representatives of South East Smokefree Alliance (SESA) will be at Priory Meadow Shopping Centre on Tuesday, January 6, to talk to shoppers about wellbeing, and the link between quitting smoking and feeling better. Continue reading →

Sign up for one-off chance to run the Link Road

Crowhurst Road has been re-routed and now takes traffic via an underpass beneath the new Bexhill to Hastings Link RoadHUNDREDS of amateur runners will have a unique opportunity to pound the Tarmac of a new highway connecting Bexhill and Hastings.

Overnight closures as swing bridge revamp continues

Newhaven Swing BridgeA RIVER crossing in East Sussex will be subject to overnight closures as a £1 million refurbishment project nears completion.

Newhaven Swing Bridge, which carries the A259 over the River Ouse, will close over five nights in August to allow testing of new electrical systems and lifting jacks. Continue reading →
