Overnight road works planned between Ditchling and Offham

East Sussex Highways logoESSENTIAL road repairs will begin on the B2116 between Ditchling and Offham later this month.

Night-time carriageway patching will start on Tuesday, August 30 and continue until Thursday, September 15.

During the work, the B2116 Keymer Road/Lewes Road/Ditchling Road will be closed in sections on weekday nights between 7pm and 6am; there will be no weekend working.

Five-week closure for vital bridge work

East Sussex Highways logoWORK to waterproof Glynde Bridge and help guard against potholes will begin on Monday, September 12.

Station Road at the southern end of Lacys Hill will be closed for five weeks to allow for waterproofing and resurfacing work on the bridge, which crosses Glynde Reach. Repointing the brick walls and painting the steel railings will also take place.

Success for summer apprenticeship roadshows

HUNDREDS of people looking to get into the world of work explored the opportunities available to them at two successful summer Apprenticeship Roadshows.

More than 60 training providers and employers from a range of industries across the county were on hand to give advice and information at the events organised by the Sussex Council of Training Providers, in partnership with East Sussex County Council.
