Views sought on improvements to major road route
THE PUBLIC, businesses and organisations are being asked to give their view on a raft of measures aimed at improving a major road in East Sussex.
Proposals have been developed for nine junctions along the A22 and A2290 between Hailsham and Eastbourne to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, reduce traffic and journey times, as well as tackling congestion issues. Over-night roadworks planned for A259 South Coast Road
ESSENTIAL road repairs will begin at Peacehaven and Telscombe Cliffs later this month.
Night-time carriageway patching and joint repairs will start on the A259 South Coast Road on Monday, July 12 and continue until Friday, July 30.
Free holiday clubs support children this summer
A HOLIDAY Food and Fun programme, funded by the Department for Education, will be serving up free activities and food to support eligible children across East Sussex during the summer holidays.
Following the success of the first programme at Easter, 70 providers will be offering children and young people who are eligible for free school meals a range of activities, along with nutritious food and snacks, at 85 locations county wide in July and August.
Digital strategy to improve care services launched
THE WAY in which digital solutions will be used to improve and deliver care and support to adults across East Sussex has been outlined in a new strategy document.
