Record road improvement programme planned

A RECORD number of East Sussex roads will be given a new lease of life with this year’s programme of pothole-preventing work.

Bake Off star’s visit is icing on cake for new track

Peter Masters, chairman of Lewes Athletics Club, with Great British Bake Off star Ian CummingA STAR of one of Britain’s most popular TV shows has officially opened a revamped East Sussex athletics track.

Ian Cumming, a finalist in this year’s Great British Bake Off, dropped on Tuesday, November 24 2015 to mark the completion of the £160,000 refurbishment of the track, in Mountfield Road, Lewes. Continue reading →

New airport bus route provides jobs boost

bus stop picWORKERS from East Sussex will be able to get home more easily from late shifts at Gatwick Airport – thanks to a newly-launched cross-county bus service.

Metrobus has extended its 380 Earlybird service to include southbound buses from the airport to stops including Forest Row, Buxted, Heathfield, Netherfield, Battle, Hastings and Bexhill. Continue reading →
