Update:  Clean up operation on East Sussex coastline

Work continues to clear the East Sussex coastline of the remains of shipping containers and debris that washed up this week.

The pollution is the result of containers from two cargo ships going overboard further along the coast during storms late last year and last week. Continue reading →

Children encouraged to line up on the reading start line this summer

East Sussex libraries are calling on children aged four to 12 to read six books over the summer months as part of The Reading Agency’s Ready, Set, Read! Summer Reading Challenge 2023.
