Rye cycle route plans in the spotlight

Cllr Keith GlazierPEOPLE are being invited to give their views on plans for the final stage of a cycle and pedestrian route prompted by the tragic death of a cyclist from Rye.

East Sussex County Council is consulting on proposals for the fourth and final section of the route in Harbour Road – a scheme which was devised following the death in August 2004 of 22-year-old Graham Mathews. Continue reading

Planning application gives residents another chance to comment

Nick BennettTHE SUBMISSION of a planning application for a new primary school and nursery in Eastbourne will give residents another chance to have their say.

East Sussex County Council’s planning committee will consider the application for the new two-form entry primary school, with the capacity to accommodate up to 420 children, and 38-place nursery on the site of Cavendish School. Continue reading
