Have your say on plans for county’s library service

Cllr Bill BentleyMEMBERS of the public are being encouraged to take part in a consultation on proposals which will create a modern and sustainable service for the county.

The 12-week consultation on a strategy which focuses limited resources where they can have the greatest impact on residents’ lives was agreed by East Sussex County Council’s cabinet and it launched on Thursday, September 21. Continue reading

Battle Library reopens after major revamp

Battle Library in East Sussex has reopened to the public after a total refurbishment.

The nine week modernisation scheme has seen the library in Market Square completely redecorated and fitted with new carpets, lighting, furniture and shelving, as well as self-service facilities, a new display area and space for community events.  New desks provide laptop and USB plug-in spots.
