Support for families under one roof
FAMILIES across East Sussex will be able to access a range of support services under one roof as 11 Family Hubs open their doors this summer.
Professionals including midwives, health visitors, Early Communications Support Workers, Early Years Practitioners, Community Engagement Coordinators and Early Help Key will offer support from the new Family Hubs, while sessions will give children and parents the chance to socialise and support their children’s needs and development. Support services available for LGBTQ+ community
SPECIALIST services offering advice and support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual community (LGBTQ+) are available across East Sussex.
Funding has been awarded to the council’s Joint Mental Health Commissioning Team from the Sussex Health and Care Partnership to fund three advice services offering support and information to those identifying as LGBTQ+ or exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

While over 100,000 people had a cervical screen in East Sussex during the last three to five years, nearly a third of those eligible for a smear test did not take up their appointment.
