Over 83,000 people have had NHS Health Check in East Sussex – have you?

The check, which can lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and dementia, is offered to people aged 40 to 74 who don’t already have one of those conditions. Continue reading

Have your say on options for waste service savings

MEMBERS of the public are being asked for their views on options that will help the county’s waste service save more than £500,000 in 2018/19.

Reductions in Government funding, and rising demand for services means East Sussex County Council has to cut £17 million from its 2018/19 budget. The waste service annual budget will be reduced by £720,000, of which savings of £558,000 will need to be made in 2018/19. Continue reading
