Grit fun with East Sussex Christmas musicals
YOUNGSTERS from across East Sussex will sing the praises of the county’s fleet of gritters in a series of Christmas concerts.
Gritter! is the title of this year’s Big Christmas Sing, organised by East Sussex Music Service, which will feature around 2,000 children singing in 12 performances at four venues, supported by young musicians from county ensembles. Continue reading

AN AUDIO display telling the stories of people living with HIV will arrive at Eastbourne Library on December 1.

How East Sussex youngsters helped WW1 wounded
THE heart-warming story of how children and young adults with disabilities from East Sussex helped wounded soldiers is the latest addition to a First World War website.
Servicemen who had lost limbs in the conflict were sent to Chailey Heritage Craft School, set up in 1903 to provide a home and education for children with disabilities, to learn from the youngsters how to overcome their injuries. Continue reading
Link Road praised by independent assessor
THE Bexhill to Hastings Link Road has been praised by an independent construction body for its environmental work, liaison with the local community and safety record.
